Honoree: Dan Hannon
We are proud to honor Dan Hannon at this year’s Friends Golf Classic. A dedicated Friends of Mercy member for 23 years and a longtime committee contributor. Dan has been a passionate supporter of our events, even before officially joining the Friends.
With over 40 years of experience in claims investigation, Dan is the CEO of Daniel J. Hannon and Associates, Inc., based in Rockville Centre, providing services across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic to insurance carriers, law firms, and public entities.
Dan’s commitment to service extends well beyond his profession. He has served on the boards of Holy Cross High School, The American Society of Workers’ Compensation Professionals, RVC Little League, & The Point Lookout Fishing Club. His philanthropic spirit has been recognized by Holy Cross HS, the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, and The Fraternal Organization of Court Officers.
A proud father of Daniel, Brian, and Kevin, and beloved “Beach Pop” to his grandchildren Lily, Declan, Finnegan, and Blair, Dan splits his time between Point Lookout and Miramar, Florida. The Friends of Mercy are thrilled to celebrate Dan’s dedication, leadership, and generosity.
The Friends of Mercy Golf Classic has been celebrated since 1981 amongst the Friends of Mercy. The event is an exciting day-long event in which guests enjoy 18 holes of golf at a prestigious, desirable course. Golfers will enjoy not only an excellent golfing experience, but unsurpassed service, culminating in an event to remember! Following a day of golf are cocktails, delicious steak dinner, tournament prizes and an array of amazing raffles.

Proceeds for 2025 will go toward purchasing Oneview Healthcare, a patient engagement platform designed to enhance the in-hospital experience by providing patients with personalized information, entertainment, and self-service tools directly at their bedside. This allows patients to take an active role in managing their care while enhancing communication and simplifying workflows for healthcare providers. Accessible via a dedicated bedside device or patients’ own mobile devices, Oneview Technology empowers patients and enhances their overall hospital stay.
